King’s Grant Golf & Country Club (Managed by East Coast Golf)

EAST COAST GOLF MANAGEMENT OF MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. SIGNS CONTRACTURAL AGREEMENT TO MANAGE KING’S GRANT GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB IN FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.

Methodist University PGM Program Graduate, Mike Buccerone, Will Serve As Acting General Manager Of King’s Grant

May 1, 2014, Fayetteville, N.C.– East Coast Golf Management of Myrtle Beach, SC has entered into a contractual arrangement with Methodist University to assume the role of managing the overall golf operation of King’s Grant Golf & Country Club effective May 1, 2014. Lead by long-time Myrtle Beach area PGA professional and Methodist University PGM program graduate, Mike Buccerone, East Coast Golf Management will be responsible for administration, golf operations, maintenance operations, food & beverage operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting and guest services.

King’s Grant Golf & Country Club, located in Fayetteville, NC, is an 18-hole championship golf facility majority-owned by Methodist University and features a practice center with driving range, club repair service, clubhouse, tennis courts and a

swimming pool. King’s Grant boasts more than 500 residential homes with values ranging from $300K to $1 million.

In addition to Methodist University’s on-campus golf course, King’s Grant is also tied to the PGA of America’s Professional Golf Management (PGM) program with Methodist University. This pathway to membership blends the PGA PGM Program courses and requirements with a bachelor’s degree offered at an accredited PGA Golf Management University. Students in the university program will cover the same course material and must complete the same requirements — such as work experience activities and the Playing Ability Test — as PGA apprentices. However, they will do so in addition to their regular college course load.

King’s Grant provides the golfer a unique blend of fun and challenging holes. Each hole is unique, with many elevation changes and a strong emphasis on shot placement and accuracy. The golf course offers gently rolling bent grass greens and five sets of tees to provide maximum enjoyment for all golfers. Two beautiful cypress lakes, frequent natural areas and well placed bunkers keep the golfers’ attention as they travel around this scenic layout. The King’s Grant golf course was recently voted the Readers’ Choice Award winner as “Best Golf Course in Cumberland County” by the Fayetteville Observer.

Immediate plans include new programs to increase rounds played by members and the general public. Additional offerings will provide more opportunities to homeowners and include special member benefits through East Coast Golf Management’s Platinum Membership program which would extend playing privileges to King’s Grant members at an additional 30 golf courses in SC and NC.

According to Methodist University president, Ben Hancock, “Methodist University and the Board of Trustees have great respect and commitment to the entire King’s Grant Community and to the future of the golf course. East Coast Golf Management wishes to involve all King’s Grant homeowners to become more involved.”

“I am so thrilled to be back in Fayetteville and to have this opportunity to join with my alma mater in the management of King’s Grant Golf & Country Club,” said Mike Buccerone, president of East Coast Golf Management. “With the plans to roll out new membership opportunities and to increase community activities for homeowners and the

children within the community, King’s Grant will certainly be Fayetteville’s golf course of choice.”
